Alumina ceramic rings are ring-shaped ceramic products made primarily from alumina. They possess numerous excellent properties and are widely used in various fields. The following is a detailed introduction:
Performance
High Hardness and Wear Resistance: With a Mohs hardness of 9, second only to diamond, their wear resistance is over 200 times that of stainless steel, effectively resisting the erosion and friction of particles in high-speed fluids.
High Temperature Resistance: They can withstand temperatures up to 1600°C and remain stable in high-temperature environments, such as glass melting furnaces and metal smelting.
Insulation and Corrosion Resistance: At room temperature, they boast a resistivity of up to 10¹⁴Ω・cm and are resistant to strong acids and alkalis. They are suitable for applications requiring insulation and corrosion resistance, such as high-frequency transformer insulation components in electronics factories.
Production Process
Dry Pressing: Alumina powder is pressed under high pressure using a hydraulic or mechanical press. This allows for high throughput, reaching 15 to 50 pieces per minute, but requires a high degree of uniform distribution of the powder particles.
Slurry casting: Using water as the flux, a debonding agent, and a binder, alumina slurry is ground and degassed, then poured into a plaster mold. The slurry solidifies and forms by absorbing water through the capillaries of the plaster mold. This method is suitable for molding large, complex components.
Applications
Aerospace: Used for manufacturing components that withstand high temperatures and high pressures, such as engine components and thermal protection systems.
Semiconductor Manufacturing: Commonly used in the manufacture of insulating components for equipment to protect sensitive electronic components from high temperatures and electromagnetic interference. It can also be used in semiconductor gas distribution rings.
Energy: In the nuclear and solar energy sectors, it is used as a critical structural and insulating material due to its high-temperature stability and radiation resistance.
Chemical and Mining: Due to its high chemical and wear resistance, it is widely used in equipment such as pumps, valves, and sensors.
Dimensions and Specifications
