cyclone accessories are key components of cyclone equipment, primarily used in industrial applications such as solid-liquid separation, classification, and concentration. The following provides a comprehensive introduction to accessory types, selection parameters, and maintenance:

I. Main Accessory Types

. Settling/Sandblasting Nozzles: Made of polyurethane, ceramic, or silicon carbide, they offer high wear resistance, such as the Dianrong polyurethane settling nozzles.

. Cyclone Bottom Cone: Custom-designed for tailings concentration.

. Overflow Wear-Resistant Elbow: Suitable for high-wear conditions and requires use with a siphon device.

. Liner Assembly: Modular design facilitates replacement, such as the annular spliced unit lining at Zhenghao Mine, which allows for partial replacement to reduce costs.

II. Key Selection Parameters

· Diameter: The FX125 offers a throughput of 3.1-6.1 m³/h, while the FX500 boasts a throughput of 170-220 m³/h. Larger diameters increase throughput but may reduce classification accuracy.

Cone Angle: 20° for conventional classification, 15°-30° for fine particle separation, and 10°-45° for coarse particle separation.

Material: Polyurethane lining with high-manganese steel grit nozzles can extend life by 30%.

III. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Installation Key Points: Flange or clamp connections must be tightly sealed. Polyurethane materials should be regularly inspected for wear.

Common Problems: Abnormal underflow requires adjustment of the grit nozzle diameter (replacement cycle every three months). Overflow coarseness can be reduced by reducing the underflow opening.

For specific model or application requirements (such as desulfurization gypsum, mineral processing, etc.), further refine the selection based on operating parameters (pressure, concentration).

IV. Installation Conditions

Basic Installation Specifications

The installation direction should be selected as upright or inverted, depending on the fire protection or industrial application. After installation, the reference surface must be calibrated with a spirit level. The clearance between the outer edge of the cyclone and the tank wall should be ≥ 0.3 times the nominal pipe diameter to prevent fluid turbulence from affecting separation performance.

The support structure must be bolted evenly, and maintenance clearance of ≥ 1.5 times the equipment diameter must be reserved.

Piping System Configuration

The feed pipe must be equipped with a slurry pump or mud pump. The distance between the pump body and the pump body must not exceed 2 meters, and the pipe bend angle must be ≤ 30°.

A 20-mesh filter and butterfly valve/gate valve must be installed at the inlet end, and an adjustable throttle valve must be installed at the outlet end.

Pressure Control

The safety valve pressure should be set to 1.2-1.5 times the rated operating pressure. The pressure gauge monitoring range must be stable within ±10% of the calibrated value.

V. Certification Standards

Polyurethane Cyclone Category Standards

Appearance: Uniform color (△e*ab ≤ 3.0), no bubbles or cracks on the surface, and any single defect area ≤ 2 mm². Dimensions: Diameter tolerance ±0.5%, inlet and outlet diameter tolerance ±0.3mm/±0.2mm.

Performance: Shore hardness 80A-90A, tensile strength ≥20MPa, corrosion resistance (mass change ≤±2% after 48 hours in 10% hydrochloric acid).

Industry Certifications

Weidongshan cyclones are ISO-9001-2000 certified and comply with the national professional standard ZB096005-88.

VI. Maintenance Requirements

Daily Maintenance

Regularly inspect the grit nozzle for wear (polyurethane nozzles are recommended to be replaced every three months) and adjust the underflow nozzle size to prevent overflow and coarseness.

During a no-load test run, fill with water for three minutes to purge the air. The overflow rate should be ≤5%, and the concentricity deviation should be<0.02mm/m. Troubleshooting

· If the underflow is abnormal, prioritize checking the diameter of the grit nozzle. If the separation efficiency is less than 90%, re-commissioning is required.

· Key equipment such as dense medium cyclones requires guidance from responsible personnel for each section, and dynamic monitoring of operating status.
