High-Alumina ceramic wear-resistant pipe (industrial Ceramic lined pipe) is a type of industrial wear-resistant pipe made by combining high-purity alumina ceramic with a metal matrix. It is widely used in high-wear and high-corrosion conditions.

I. Material and Structural Characteristics

 

Ceramic Layer Performance

 

· Using α-Al₂O₃ as the main component (content ≥95%-99%), it achieves a Mohs hardness of 9 and a Vickers hardness of HV1100-1400, with wear resistance over 20 times that of carbon steel pipe.

 

· Inner wall roughness ≤0.5μm, reducing fluid resistance and preventing scaling.

 

Composite Structure Design

 

· Three-layer composite system: ceramic layer (3-12mm), nickel-based alloy transition layer (to mitigate thermal expansion differences), and carbon steel/stainless steel base pipe (wall thickness 8-20mm).

· Process Type:

· Centrifugal Casting: The ceramic layer is dense and uniform, suitable for straight pipes and standard components. Self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS): Ceramic-to-substrate bond strength ≥ 50 MPa, resistant to rapid cooling and heating (temperature differential ≥ 800°C).

II. Core Performance Advantages

· Wear resistance: Wear rate<0.5 mm/3 years when conveying quartz sand-containing slurry, with a service life 15 times that of ordinary steel pipes.

· Corrosion resistance: Withstands pH 2-12 media, with an annual corrosion rate of<0.01 g in concentrated sulfuric acid environments.

· High-temperature stability: Long-term temperature resistance of 900°C, short-term resistance of 1200°C.

· Lightweight: Weighs only 50% of cast stone pipe, reducing installation costs by 30%.

III. Typical Application Scenarios

· Mining: Increases tailings conveying system life from 1 year to 5 years.

· Power: High-temperature ash pipes (800°C) show no deformation for 5 years.

· Chemical: Leak-free concentrated sulfuric acid transportation. IV. Selection and Process Recommendations

. Purity Selection: 99% alumina is recommended for high-wear applications, while 95% is acceptable for general conditions.

. Process Verification: Prefer centrifugal casting or SHS products, avoiding surface-mount products (temperature resistance ≤ 100°C).

. Economic Evaluation: Lifecycle costs are 60% lower than stainless steel pipes.
